Spring and Port Wine

10th to 11th December 1976

Performances took place at St. John’s Church Hall

In the working-class Crompton household, the father Rafe assumes the role of the authoritarian figure, striving to maintain control with strictness, in stark contrast to his wife Daisy's compassionate and empathetic nature.

Rafe's rigid approach to parenting creates tension within the family, especially with his defiant daughter, Hilda, leading to intense clashes and power struggles that disrupt the household dynamics and influence every family member.
